Make a clip that loops.

Drop in a short video, trim the moment, and export a GIF on this device. The file never leaves your browser. Start with a 3–8 second clip for a result that is easier to share.

Preparing encoder…

Local-first by design.
Short clips work best. GIF has no audio and uses a limited color palette; for longer or sharper videos, keep the original MP4 or export WebM.

Your exported GIF will appear here. Nothing is uploaded while you work.

What this browser tool can and cannot do

The conversion runs in a Web Worker using a GIF encoder. Your selected video is decoded by the browser, sampled at the frame rate you choose, and assembled into a downloadable GIF locally. There is no account, queue, or server-side copy of the file.

Browser decoding varies by device and codec. If the video will not preview, try exporting it as H.264 MP4 first. Keep the first pass short and modest in width; mobile browsers and large 4K files have less memory available than desktop browsers.
