    What is preserved?

    Exports the primary still image from each HEIC/HEIF file. Extra frames, Live Photo video, depth maps, HDR gain maps and original EXIF/GPS metadata are not retained. HDR and wide-gamut colors may look different. JPG uses a white background; PNG preserves decoded transparency. Keep your originals.

    Up to 50 megapixels and 16,384 pixels per side. Decoding runs one photo at a time with cancellation and a two-minute timeout per photo. Successful output is limited to 100 MB per batch. Some HEIF codecs are unsupported. The decoder loads only when you start; the first conversion needs a network connection.
